Lissa Peterson
Data Science Consultant
With a specialization in data visualization and analysis, Lissa brings her expertise in SQL, Excel, Tableau and Power BI to her role as a Data Consultant at Avicado. Lissa’s breadth of knowledge spans nearly two decades working as a data and research analyst for major banking, marketing and media institutions including Capital One Financial, Time Inc. and EBSCO Information Services. Her impressive business analytics and data visualization experience has made her adept at mining meaningful insights from data and communicating the stories they reveal.
Lissa currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband, Eric, and her twins, Lane and Connor. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Math and Theater from Vanderbilt University and her master’s degree in English Rhetoric from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
When she’s not juggling her work, children and pets, Lissa spends her free time walking, reading and traveling. One of her favorite travel destinations is the mountains of western North Carolina, where you can find her enjoying the views and sipping on a good bourbon.
